BLUE & GOLD BANQUET 2008  (Sat, March 1)

Cub Scout Josh, Den Leader Julia Brown, and Troop 868 Advancement Chair Sandra Vera made table decorations during a weekly den meeting.

Once the tables are arranged, Cubmaster Bob Meek hurries to get audio-visual equipment set up so the program can start on time.

Den Leaders Linda Zimmerman and Cheryl Guffey and a Cub parent arrange food on the serving table.   A large sheet cake was the dessert of choice.

Following prayer it didn't take this crowd long to get lined up for grub.   (L to R): Cubmaster Meek, Den Leaders Brown and Zimmerman, Den Chief Chris, and Troop 868 Eagle Scout Clinton Vissers.

Cub Scouting is a family-centered program and family support is obvious at this event.   Cubmaster Meek conducts uniform inspections for three scouts who think they're ready to earn their "Full Official Uniform" patch.

The results are announced.  A couple of patches are awarded and some minor deficiencies with one boy's uniform are explained.   Later in the program, Cub Scout Scott is awarded his Bobcat Badge.
