BLUE & GOLD BANQUET (March 7, 2010)
Page 2

In addition to distributing a number of patches and recognizing the winners of the Pinewood Derby, the evening also featured our annual Cub+Parent cake auction.  Cubs and an adult partner of their choosing bake a cake to compete in one of several pre-announced categories.  Cakes are judged and then auctioned.  The bidding is spirited and the event generally raises several hundred dollars to support the pack's program.

Scouts who participated in the Scouting for Food canned goods drive in November were recognized. The Scouting for Food participants also received a patch.
There were also patches for the boys who went with the Pack to see Lights Under Louisville. And patches for the scouts who went swimming with the Pack during school Christmas Break.
The scouts who toured Mammoth Cave with the Pack in January received patches.   Scouts received a Pinewood Derby Drivers' License and a patch for participating in the Pinewood Derby.
The Pinewood Derby winners in each den received a trophy. The 3 overall winners --- Adam (3rd), Tate (2nd), and Kaleb (1st) --- were presented with larger trophies.
