BOWLING  (Saturday, November 14, 2009)

In connection with the annual Scouting for Food canned goods drive, the Cub Scouts of Pack 868 always team up with the Boy Scouts of Troop 868 and their fellow Cub Scouts from Pack 848 to cover an area that includes dozens of neighborhoods.  The project requires a commitment of two Saturdays.  On the first Saturday, the scouts walk the neighborhoods and place flyers on the doors of each residence asking folks to participate by placing donated groceries onto their porches the following Saturday.

Flyer distribution only takes about half the day, so we ate lunch at the Community Center then everyone was invited to go bowling for the rest of the afternoon.  Photos from the bowling activity are shown here.  A story and photos from Scouting for Food are posted on Troop 868's website at www.bsatroop868.com/S4Food2009.htm.

Den Chief Drew chose to bowl with the Cub Scouts and had a rivalry going with Scoutmaster Meek and Cubmaster Frank.  He lost to their superior skill.  :)   Pack 868 parents Tom and Tonya Gordon and Dana Heffley bowled with the Tiger Cub den.
