WEEKLY DEN MEETINGS (August~December, 2008)
Page 5

During weekly den meetings, Cub Scouts work on rank advancement requirements, make crafts, play games, and/or take field trips.  Activities are planned by the Den Leaders and can vary widely from week to week.  But emphasis is always on learning in a FUN way.

This is putting one's head to work!  First, each team must support a balloon between their foreheads by pressing against it.   Getting the balloons placed turns out not to be quite as easy as one might think.

But everyone soon figures out how to do it.   When everyone is ready and lined up, the race is set to begin.

Wolf Den Leader Tamara teams up with Alexus, older sister of Cub Scout Jesse.   Mrs. Brown reviews some advancement requirements with Tiger Cub Matthew.

Bear Den Leader Linda Zimmerman shows Tilyr how to read a measuring cup.   Dalton cracks some eggs into a mixing bowl as Tilyr and Mrs. Zimmerman observe.

Tilyr and Jesse give their brownie batter a "thumbs up!"   Webelos Scott and T.J. enjoy vanilla pudding in an ice cream cone.  Mrs. Vissers settles for a Coke.

Den Leader Coach Julia Brown explains a craft project to Tiger and Wolf Cubs in a combined group.   The boys are soon busy threading beads onto wires.
