DINOSAUR WORLD  (October 2010)

We typically conduct only one weekend activity a month, but the fall is such a great time to be outdoors, we scheduled a second Saturday day trip this month.

On this day, we ventured south down I-65 about 100 miles to visit Dinosaur World which is located at the Cave City / Mammoth Cave exit.

Cub Scouts and parents alike all had a great time seeing the giant (man-made) dinosaurs.  It was a good way to spend an October Saturday.

These guys don't look too concerned about being lunch for this dino!
Scouts pose for a photo at the base of a giant T-Rex.    Don't look now, guys, but somebody in the group is about to be lunch for Rex's brother!

One sure-fire way to keep a group of boys happy is to let them dig in the dirt!  In this case, it was sand and the boys were searching for buried dinosaur bones.
Cubmaster Steven Frank with a group of Pack 868 Cub Scouts (and family) take a look at the park map.
