FLAG SALE (May 27~29, 2011)

Pack 868's annual sale of American Flags is conducted very much the candy bar sales conducted by Troop 868 and scouts from both units assist with both events.  The Cub Scouts benefit from working with the older Boy Scouts and people like buying from the younger guys, so working with the Cubs is good for business!  The boys work in teams of two for shifts that last from 2~3 hours.  Some selling locations are indoors and some are outside near merchants' exit doors.  A parent must be present to provide supervision and make sure the scouts keep focused on selling, but the boys themselves do most of the work.

Photos of the Troop 868 Boy Scouts who helped with the sale may be viewed on the troop's website by clicking here.
