FLAG SALE  (Friday~Saturday, June 13~14, 2008)

Coinciding with Flag Day (June 14), Pack 868 Scouts sold small American Flags at the exit doors of the local grocery store.  This was something the Cub Scouts themselves could do with parent help in making change for large bills.  The boys were great salesmen and had a good time working to earn some money for the Pack.

Jesse makes a sale.

Dawson stands by the exit door with flags in hand.

Who wouldn't buy a flag from Daniel?   or Scott?

"Don't bother me with that camera ... can't you see I'm working here?"    Dawson seems more interested in getting his picture taken than making a sale!

Just like in real life, traffic often backed up at the stop sign as some riders forgot to signal their turn.   Parents supervise as Josh and Caden work a shift together.

Hunter shows us his "Statue of Liberty" pose as he and Josh work together.   Den Leader Linda Zimmerman had fun watching the boys make sales.

We can't help but love the "deer in the headlights" look from Caden as the camera flash surprised him.

Dawson looks ready to sell ... or cheerlead?
