HOLIDAY
WORLD (July 26,
2010)
As another summer
time pack activity, we took a day trip to visit the Holiday World theme
park about 2 hours away in Santa Claus, Indiana. This was
basically an event where we all rode together on the bus but each family
split off and did their own thing once we arrived at the park. We
went on a Monday when we felt the crowd might be smaller and the waiting
lines for the rides would be shorter. This was probably the case,
but with the Kentucky Kingdom theme park in Louisville closed, the crowd
at Holiday World was noticeably larger than we had encountered in
previous years and lines for many rides were quite long. Despite
the crowd and long waits, it was still a fun outing.
