Scout
Parents, Inc. is a non-profit charitable corporation registered in the
state of Kentucky created for the sole purpose of promoting the Boy Scouting
program in
Shepherdsville, Kentucky and the surrounding area. In support of
this mission, Scout Parents, Inc. holds a charter from the Boy Scouts of
America to operate both Boy Scout Troop 868 and Cub Scout Pack 868.
Scout
Parents, Inc. has been recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, non-profit charitable
organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions to Scout Parents, Inc. are, therefore, fully
deductible for both federal and state income tax purposes.
As
the sponsoring organization for Pack 868, Scout Parents, Inc. promises
to support and promote the pack; to select, train, and support qualified
leaders; and to provide guidance and direction for the pack's program to
insure that all scouts have safe, fun, and rewarding experiences in the
unit with the goal of retaining their interest all the way through the
Cub Scouting program and eventually crossing them over into Boy Scouting
in Troop 868.
